How's everyone doing? Okay, remember about that Dreams/Nightmare contest? Haha
I'm not sure if you guys do, but it was closed and never continued due to the
lack of entries. We have a lot of inactivity going on around this group, am I
right? Well, at least me and K1ru believes so. xD In order to keep or make this
group active, we both got together and brainstormed a few ideas. It wasn't easy
to think. We made all the ideas for you
and for the sake of this group.
Since NuGen seems to lack the competitive side, we decided to come up with a
teamwork strategy instead. NuGen's
purpose of existence are for those who are talented yet not appreciated.
NuGeneration members need to go and support each member through their designing.
So... in the end, k1ru said we needed a project to show all of our skills in
designing wallpapers. So here's what we came up with:
Project One: Art Styles
You heard it. That. So what does that mean...? Basically it means making
wallpapers of different art styles. (ej. vector, abstract, scenery, painted,
etc.)
Here are some guidelines you'll need for this upcoming project:
-One entry per style: first come first serve
-All entries should be 1600x1200 minimum
-All entries must have the NuGen signature
Rest of the rules and guidelines are on the site we have prepared for you guys,
so it'll be easier to access; instead of having it all scrunched up in the group

Also, I thought it be best to have a section in the group where we believe a
piece of art is inspirational. No, it doesn't mean, "The best & most
gorgeous wallpaper" or "Featured work (because it's awesome)"
sort of thing. It simply means that the featured wallpaper has potential and
inspiration to help other walls to create their artwork. The work doesn't have
to be perfect nor 100% clean & crisp nor beautiful, but instead it has its
own beauty to it. Does this all make sense...? xD Any confusion, just say so,
and I'll definitely try to clear it all out.
Okayy, these are just reminders, but for new members: Please read the rules
before submitting! Especially the last rule: all wallpaper submissions must be
in text link form. It saves a lot of time
for the page to upload. We stress you to do this.

I think we should just have an illumination for mix art... it's a lot more
organized and saves a lot of room for the page. There is a lot of stuff on the
CL page.
Well, the dreams and nightmare contest is extended until the end of May. When I
came up with a theme, I really tried to make it simple as I can. D: I guess this
theme is too difficult. But hopefully you guys can finish or begin your entries
now by the end of May, which is May 31st.
I'll think of something better next contest. Heh...
Oh yeah, you guys can enter any wallpaper submissions you had created when the
contest began. So if you, let's say, submitted in a wallpaper on April 8th, and
you didn't intend to use it as contest entry, you may do so if you want to now.
Just make sure you have a description.

You will be judged on originality, respect of
the theme, concept and content.
I still need to find some judges, so if you are willing to judge and not
participate, please PM me.

would you count the previous one, which you did better, or the one that was
submitted in latest, the more worse one?
Yes the guesses are definitely hard. #1 is the most difficult for me.

Well I kinda got stuck between walls whereas I would think the wallers would be
Tama-Neko or Candy-chan. But their style is different. You should examine their
wallies carefully. So careful it's as if you're stalking the walls. o_O
But if security takes it up to a higher level, most likely people will get
annoyed with it. It will just tire people out if we start doing tight security,
just like airports. People will start to try to find a way to avoid it.
I mean, I'd like it if there's more security. I'm not going against it or
anything. But I don't know if I can say if it would make me feel safer, just
because they added more security.
Guns or not, murders will always be committed. There's really no end to it.
I was completely shocked when I heard about this. And it was appalling on how
late the students received the news about it. But then again, we can't blame
anyone why this happened. Because if you take the time to think about, all the
situations was hard to deal with.
I don't like guns at all, but your question is quite hard to answer. If we have
stricter laws on it, people could go against it even more, and I have a feeling
it won't turn out well if we have stricter laws. But if we do have more relaxed,
it's not going to be any better than having stricter ones. If the government
allows us to carry guns everywhere we go, I believe more lives will be taken and
more gun fights will revolve. All we can do is increase our aware level and have
more security when entering buildings and such. But we can do so little to
protect the people, because someone is always going to find a way to get around
it.
The gunman was said to be a quiet guy. He was a student there. He wrote two
plays and they were all described as gruesome and so disturbing, that the
students wouldn't be surprised if he was the gunman. It was so horrible to hear
about this. It's the most violent massacre occurred in the US.
I've never in my life have had a crush on a 2-dimensional, anime guy. But I do
have to say, I find some of them good-looking. But when it comes to video games,
especially Final Fantasy characters, I would have to say that there's a higher
chance I would have on a crush on video game character rather than an anime
character. But I never have, so I can't say much about it.
But yes, I would say it is possible to have crushes on anime guys. Sometimes
it's based on looks and maybe sometimes it's based on their personality... I
think it's strange to have such strong feeling towards a two-dimensional, or
even a fictional three-dimensional (video games), but it is possible.
*GASP* Seriously? o__o That was really unexpected. But I will definitely miss you over Minitokyo! Hopefully we'll still be able to chat online? (:
